Cymbidiums is one of the most popularcultivated genera of orchids, commonly known as boat orchid or autumn orchids. With their striking flowers and relatively easy care requirements, Cymbidiums is a favorite plant among enthusiasts and gardeners. 

Características principales

• Hojas: Long, narrow, grass-like leaves that can grow up to 2-3 feet (60-90 cm) in length. The leaves are dark green and arch.
• Flores: The flowers are large and measuring 2-5 inches (5-12 cm) across. They have a wide range of colors, including white, pink, yellow, green, orange, brown, red, etc. It blooms once per year, typically in the late autumn or winter months. The flowers are borne on long spikes and can last for several weeks. 
• Crecimiento: Flower spikes can be up to 3 feet(90cm) tall, supporting 10-20 flowers
• Luz: Prefiere la luz brillante e indirecta. La luz solar directa puede quemar sus hojas.
• Agua: Requires consistent moisture but should not be waterlogged. Reduce watering during winter 
• Temperatura: Optimal daytime temperatures 65-75°F (18-24°C), nighttime temperatures around 50-55°F (10-13°C). It benefits from a temperature drop at night to encourage flowering.
• Suelo: Prefers well-draining, orchid-specific potting mixes, containing bark, perlite, and charcoal.
• Toxicidad: No tóxico para animales domésticos y humanos.
