Product Description

Monstera adansonii variegata, also known as Variegated Swiss Cheese Plant, is a stunning rare variety of Monstera known for its striking variegation and fenestrated leaves. This plant is highly sought after by plant enthusiasts for its beautiful appearance and relative easy care requirements.

Monstera adansonii variegata is found naturally in the tropical forests of Central and South America, where it grows as an epiphyte or climbing vine. The plant maintains a climbing and trailing growth habit in growing.

Key Characteristics

  • Leaves: The leaves can take on a mottled, marbled, or splashed appearance, with the variegation randomly coming across the leaf blade.
  • Growth: It will naturally climb upwards and outwards, producing long, flexible stems that can reach 6-8 feet (1.8-2.4m) or more in length. It can reach impressive lengths if giving proper support.
  • Light:Thrives in bright, indirect light. The variegated sections of leaves are more sensitive to sunlight and can be scorched easily.
  • Water: Keep soil moist but not waterlogged. Water the plant thoroughly when top inch feels dry.
  • Temperature: Ideal temperature range is between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C). It does not tolerate cold drafts or sudden temperature changes.
  • Soil:Use a well-draining potting mix. Mixture of peat, perlite, and orchid bark works well.
  • Toxicity: Contain calcium oxalate crystals, which can be toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep the plant out of reach of children and animals.
