Rubber Plant Tineke

Rubber Plant Tineke is a popular cultivar of the Ficus elastica, also known as the Rubber Tree. It is originally from Southeast Asia and belongs to the family Moraceae. Rubber Plant Tineke is a beautiful, low-maintenance houseplant for its decorative foliage and air-purifying qualities.

Key Characteristics

• Leaves: Large, glossy, and oval-shaped with creamy-white and green variegation. New leaves often have a pinkish hue.
• Growth: The plant has an upright, bushy growth habit. It can grow up to 6-10 feet (1.8-3m) indoors, but can be kept smaller with pruning. The leaves can grow up to 12 inches(30cm) long
• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch its leaves, while low light can reduce variegation.
• Water: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. Moderate humidity is ideal.
• Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 60-75°F (16-24°C).
• Soil: Requires well-draining potting soil. A mix of peat, pine bark, and perlite is ideal.
• Toxicity: The sap can be irritating to skin and toxic if ingested, so keep away from pets and children.
